Today, May 07, 2010 (8am-5pm), 53 farmers(21 males & 32 females) graduated the "KASAKALISAN, Integrated Pest Management(IPM), FARMERS FIELD SCHOOL(FFS)-BANANA. They completely attended the 16 months(24 sessions) season long training (FFS).
Field Day was conducted in the morning. Farmer participants together with their guests and invited famers viewed the "Field School". Different field trials are seen by plots. Fruits were displayed and harvested. Participants explained details of each experiments' methodologies as well the results. Graduation Ceremony started at 12:30pm. Guest Speaker is Executive Director, Eng'r. Ricardo Oblena. Vice Mayor Rudy Espinosa and Vic Ouano of Regional Crop Protection Center gave inspiring messages to graduates. Farmer participants shared their GREAT Experiences/impressions and FOLK MEDIA was done very well and participated. Before the recessional participants rendered "KASAKALIKASAN Theme SONG ".
