2010 Grand Nutrition Awards

Green Banner award is given to Toledo City during the 6th Regional Nutrition Action Officers Congress & 2010 Grand Nutrition Awards on August 3, 2010, at Montebello Villa Hotel, Banilad, cEBU cITY. Green Banner Award speaks of the outstanding performance achieved by the Local Government Unit-Toledo City, in its quest for nutrition improvement, having efficiently imlemented the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition.

TOLEDO CITY TECHNO-GABAY PROGRAM (TGP) - "FARMERS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES(FITS) CENTER

"Launching and MOA Signing" of "TGP" held at City Agriculture Services Compound, First part is unveiling the billboard, followed by Cutting of Ribbon of FITS Center and MOA Signing. This project is initiated by PCARRD-DOST, CONSORTIUM, Cebu Technical University-Argao Campus and Toledo City Government. The event is a success and witnessed by farmer leaders, farm women leaders, city agri-frishery council, and private sectors. Techno-Gabay Program is characterized by networking of research and development (R&D) institutions in the AFNR sectors, the Regional R&D Consortia and other members of the National Agriculture and Resources Research and Development Network (NARRDN), the private sector, the local government units (LGUs), nongovernment organizations (NGOs) and other extension service providers, thereby, enhancing technologyutilization, adoption, and commercialization. The objectives; 1. Develop, validate, and promote modalities to facilitate technology promotion, utilization, and commercialization; 2. Strengthen links among technology generators, technology service providers, and technology users; and 3. .Complement efforts of LGUs and rural-based organizations (RBOs) in extension services.

Toledo City, City Agriculture and Fishery Counci((CAFC) Pre-Memebership Education Seminar on Cooperative

July 14-15, 2010 CAFC officers and members attended PMES as one of the requirements in their desire creation into Cooperative. Farmer Leaders from various barangays of this city attended. The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) in coordination with the local cooperative officer and City Agricultural Services Office, initiated and facilitated the event.

TECHNO BRIEFING ON INTEGRATED RICE TECHNOLOGY

Techno briefing was conducted to 35 farmers can avail the 2nd batch integrated RICE TECHNO DEMO. The project is initiated by the CENTRAL VISAYAS INTEGRATED AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH CENTER, Department of Agriculture, REgion 7 in close coordination with the Toledo City Government-CITY AGRICULTURAL SERVICES.

Inauguration/Oath-Taking of Newly Elected Public Officials

Me and some friends' Co-Heads of Departments attended the inaugural mass and oath-taking at of Newly Elected Public Officials in Toledo City.
